Update on Reagan

My cousin Kyla is keeping me updated, so that Molly and Clifford don't have to call everyone.. here is what she told me today:

So we found out today that what the doctors think she has is a Whelms tumor (if I spelled that correctly). They did remove the entire tumor, as well as her left kidney. She is scheduled for an Echo, EKG and CT of her lungs. Her pediatric oncologist is doing the CT of her lungs because, if the cancer did spread, the lungs would be on of the first places it would go.

They also took samples of her lymphnodes to see if the cancer had spread. Those reports are not back yet, it will probably be after Thanksgiving. The doctor that I work for said that this tumor does have a significant chance of returning to the same spot. The good news is that this type of tumor is not know to metastasis (spread) very often.

Reagan will have to do 28 weeks of chemo beginning December 1. She is a tough cookie, and I know she will pull through this. Thank all of you who have prayed for Raegan and my family.
Your prayers mean so much to us!
